For 18 years, Kim Lande has written, directed strategic marketing and public relations initiatives for a variety of
companies and non-profit organizations. Her company, LandeInk, has been providing creative solutions, solving problems
and generating opportunities for clients of all sizes and genres since 1999. Kim's experience in corporate and non-profit
organizations has inspired a marriage of both in Principled BrandingTM, fusing results-oriented marketing strategies with
charity organizations to increase sales and generate awareness.
Kim began her career as an advertising copywriter. She moved into position as public education director for Senior Citizens of
Greater Dallas. During her tenure at Senior Citizens, she directed public relations and marketing campaigns involving Erma Bombeck,
Betty Friedan and Phylicia Rashad, among others. She also executed broad community education campaigns to promote senior voluntarism
and the Texas Silver Haired Legislature.
In 1993, Kim moved to San Diego and consulted for the Gaslamp Quarter Foundation, Katz & Associates and Jazzercise International.
She eventually took a full-time position as director of public relations for Jazzercise where she served as publicist for
Jazzercise founder Judi Sheppard Missett and for Jazzercise International. During that time, Kim facilitated media coverage for
Missett on Regis and Kathy Lee, the Jon Stewart Show and numerous print and broadcast outlets.
Craving the non-profit world, Kim became marketing and public relations director for the San Diego Natural History Museum.
For four years, she led marketing and PR for the museum's traveling exhibitions, programs and events. Among them, The Dinosaurs
of Jurassic Park: The Exhibit, was one of the largest exhibitions in Museum history, generating 350,000 visitors and $750,00
in partnership marketing dollars.
Kim is a nationally published feature writer. She has penned articles for Perspective Magazine,
The San Diego Union-Tribune, San Diego Business Journal and San Diego Daily Transcript.
In addition, she has ghostwritten numerous articles for clients.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a concentrated minor in marketing from the University of North Texas.
Kim is mother of two daughters, Sophie and Rebecca, and is passionate about hiking, running, yoga, reading and art. She lives
in Cardiff, CA with her family, along with a gecko, and a wandering cat named Alex.
